Sorizon was conjured to create heavy, melodic, creative metal. Danny (the mann) and Sean started writing songs together and jamming in 2005 and shortly after in 2006 came upon lead vocalist Keith who then completed their previous band Joust. Joust gained a lot of popularity and success for being a band for just a year. In 2007, Joust won first place at a 100 band battle with bands of all styles and experience levels put on by TNT Music Productions in the Inland Empire. Joust disbanded shortly after, and now the core creative members have joined once again to create a band with a new style of metal that is more unique and talented than Joust...
SORIZON. AJ shredded his way into the band and we found Hoffdog to do his growling bass duties. Sorizon's first full-length album "Behind the Emerald Starscape" is now available!!! See our blog for purchasing details! T-shirts coming soon!!! A note to the listener (by Danny): The main goal of SORIZON is to deliver emotion and feeling in a progressive metal style. A lot of metal bands sacrifice the feeling of music with their speed and technically difficult riffage. Even though we enjoy and respect that kind of metal, we focus on creativity and uniqueness. The songs and even each part is written with a specific feeling or image in mind, so they each tell some kind of story. My goal is to create these sound pictures when the song is written instrumentally even before the other guys add their parts and the vocals are written. Having ridiculously talented bandmates just enhances the song more and more as they come upwith their parts. Especially when Keith writes his vocals, the songs become extremely rich and vibrant. On top of this we make the songs heavy, melodic, and shredtastic but always considering what's best for the song and its personality.
If you keep this in mind, I think you'll get the full SORIZON listening experience. METAL!
