"With Robot Hive/Exodus Clutch have progressed their sound once again and the
change is just as great as Blast Tyrant was to Pure Rock Fury or Pure
Rock Fury was to Jam Room or Jam Room was to Elephant Riders and so on.
The most noticeable difference on this record is the inclusion of a
hammond organ as part of their overall sound. They are implemented
extremely well and suit Clutch perfectly. The production is the same
crisp, clear and professional sound of Blast Tyrant but the guitar tone
has more of a bouncy Elephant Riders type quality to it and the
inclusion of the keyboards give the band a much more bluesy feel. The
album is another step forward in the Clutch sound."
