Лидер FARO - это излучающий харизму ведущий вокалист Chitral "Chity" Somapala, хорошо известный по своей потрясающей вокальной работе с melodic progressive metal группой AVALON. Он родился на Шри-Ланке в семье знаменитых музыкантов.

В 2002 году он записал песню "Greenlands" для международного чемпионата по регби в ISIPATHANA. Frank Rohles играет на гитаре в совершенно уникальном, не имеющем аналогов стиле. Родом из Испании, он хорошо известен как сессионный музыкант и автор песен для самых разных немецких роковых проектов. Frank работал с самыми разными стилями и видами музыки - от мюзиклов и джигги до телевизионных композиций: ему даже приходилось играть на гитаре для Drehscheibe на ZDF. Daniel Flores родом из Чили, но сейчас живёт в Швеции, где уже получил известность благодаря своей потрясающей ударной работе в шведской progressive metal команде MINDS EYE и других музыкальных проектах. В общем и целом, FARO обладают теми достоинствами, которыми не могут похвастаться подобные проекты - как прошлого, так и настоящего. Это уникальный баланс между коммерческим аспектом музыки и исключительно hardcore-подходом к написанию песен. Продюсером "Dawn Of Forever" выступил Markus Teske, ранее работавший с VANDEN PLAS, IAN PARRY - CONSORTIUM PROJECT, SYMPHONY X, SHEELA, MiCHAEL SADLER, SAGA и многими другими.

The 2003 debut, Dawn Of Forever, was a very interesting melodic hardrock release from Faro, but with their new album Angelost, I think they have taken a step further with their style and songs. This time they have a more melodic metal oriented style with small influences of progressive music, but still with high priority and much focus on nice melodies. You will also this time hear a more diverse album than the first, and already with the opener Desert Moon, we hear that the band has changed their style. A very fine melodic metal oriented song built up with great riffs, a strong rhythm section and with a cool chorus. Chity`s voice is stronger than ever and I feel for real that I have learned to know his voice by listening to Firewind, Moonlight Agony and Red circuit, and he has become one of my favorite singers in the hardrock scene today! The third song, World Of Fools, is a bluesy hardrock oriented song where you hear the capacity in Chity`s voice in the switch between the verses and choruses. You will also notice a very nice played guitarsolo in this song by Barish Kepic. The Forbidden Land is my absolute favorite on the album, a nice melodic metal oriented tune with some progressive tendencies, a beautiful chorus. The nice instrumentation on top makes this song to be my most played song lately! Heavenly Light is a very traditional power ballad, but one of the best I`ve heard in a very long time! Strange Dreams is the heaviest song on the album with dark riffs and a slow rhythm, the song builds up a bit in tempo into a perfect chorus. Damned Eternally continues a bit like the last song, with dark riffs, but with a fresher tempo and a catchier refrain. Where Did It Go is an uptempo song, I like the guitars with technical riffs and details. The One is the second ballad and like the first, also this one is a pearl. Destination has a more progressive style at the verses, but is more melodic round the chorus.You will take notice of the instrumentation who is cool! The album ends with Dancing In the Dark, who originally was released with Bruce Springsteen. I`m not a big fan of the original song, but when I heard Faro`s version, I got totally hooked on the song! All in all I think this is a better album than the debut. For fans of melodic metal with taste for good melodies, great vocals and nice instrumentation and sound you can`t let this album go unnoticed! // http://home.online.no/
