Через 20 лет после грандиозного успеха групп вроде Scorpions,
MSG или Victory группа GALLOGLASS (состоящая частично из местных героев
Serpent Moves) выползла на свет из репетиционной комнаты и обратила на
себя взоры Гановера. За две недели записав демо-диск, Carsten Frank
(вокал), Dirk Zelmer (бас), Arnd Lorenz (барабаны), Kai Mьhlenbruch
(гитара, ex-Desolation) и Norbert Geiseler (гитара, ex-Progeria) попали
в сферу внимания слушателей и прессы в 1999 году.
GALLOGLASS - это быстрый мелодичный Power Metal с периодическим
уклоном в эпические материи, в лучших традициях немецкого Speed Metal а
la Blind Guardian или Kai Hansen, плюс элегантность старых добрых
Helstar или Fates Warning. Группа получила ряд предложений от фирм,
остановились на сотрудничестве с Limb Music Products - и дебютный
альбом "Legends From Now And Nevermore" был издан в 2003 году. Альбом
записан под чутким руководством Olaf Reitmeier (Luca Turilli, Gun
Barrel, Kamelot) - и оправдал все ожидания.

Carsten Frank делают "Legends From Now And Nevermore" одним из лучших
Power Metal релизов того года. Группа принялась активно концертировать
-играть с Wizard, Goddess Of Desire, Mob Rules, Domain, Eternal Reign,
etc., и начала писать материал для второго альбома "Heavenseeker".
"Heavenseeker" показал развитие группы, более зрелый саунд,
гимновые запоминающиеся композиции. Скрипач Hartmut Richter и женский
хор добавили особой прелести.
Слово GAL-LO-GLASS (ударение на второй слог) взято из ирландской истории.

20 years after the first big successes of bands like Scorpions, MSG or Victory, GALLOGLASS
(consisting partially of remainders of the local heroes Serpent Moves)
pop out of their rehearsal room and into daylight to put the focus of
the international Metal scene once again on Hanover. With their demo CD
which had been recorded in just two weeks, Carsten Frank (vocals), Dirk
Zelmer (bass), Arnd Lorenz (drums), Kai Mühlenbruch (guitar,
ex-Desolation) and Norbert Geiseler (guitar, ex-Progeria) managed a
bull´s eye shot directly into the hearts of both fans and press in 1999.
No wonder, because GALLOGLASS´s
fast, melodic Power Metal with a leaning to the epic is a perfect
symbiosis of the early works of German Speed Metal à la Blind Guardian
or Kai Hansen and the effortless elegance of old Helstar- or Fates
Warning-releases. Nobby Among serveral good offers made by the record
industry (which had become attentive in the meantime), the band decided
in favor of a cooperation with Limb Music Products - the debut Legends
From Now And Nevermore was finally released by that company in 2003. The
album was recorded under the skilful direction of Olaf Reitmeier (Luca
Turilli, Gun Barrel, Kamelot) - and met all high expectations, being
showered with praise of fans and press in Germany and abroad alike.
Above all, the fantastic guitar playing of the 6-string duo
Mühlenbruch/Geiseler and the outstanding voice of frontman Carsten Frank
made Legends From Now And Nevermore one of the Power Metal-highlights
of that year and catapulted the young band to the helm of German
Metal-hopefuls.Arnie No reason for them to rest on their laurels. After
some memorable gigs with -among others- Wizard, Goddess Of Desire, Mob
Rules, Domain, Eternal Reign, etc., the band started immediately with
the songwriting for the current album "Heavenseeker".
And "Heavenseeker" shows the band even more mature, tougher, more direct
and with even more intuition for hymn-like catchy tunes. While Metal
violinist Hartmut Richter and a female choir provide the additional
melodic spots in some songs, even Curran Murphy (ex-Nevermore,
Annihilator) and Jeff Waters (Annihilator), being enthusiastic about the
song material, were keen to appear on "Heavenseeker" with one guest
solo respectively. The sheer bright talent of the GALLOGLASS-musicians
and their extremeley fresh song ideas additionally cater to the fact
that "Heavenseeker", in spite of its unmistakeable traditional
direction, works like an infusion of fresh blood into the fossilized
veins of the German Power Metal scene. The Limited Edition also includes
a 100 minutes-long DVD (contents among others: a "Making of"-video
clip, live footage etc.) - due to this, "Heavenseeker" will certainly be
on top of the shopping list of the Metal fans very soon.
