Иисус Назаритянин Царь Иудейский – или просто I.N.R.I. Убивать, молотить и крушить? "Shoot, Hammer And Krush"! Мастурбировать? "Masturbate"! COLDBLOOD Industries в своём репертуаре – несут в свет грязное богохульство. "Хде ш то видано?" А нам пофигу :)! Мракобесие от мрачных бесов I.N.R.I. несётся на бешеной скорости, сшибая каноны, кордоны, короны – мамоны-гормоны... В общем, один сплошной дэт-н-ролл в его весёлом классическом многообразии из четырёх аккордов :). Ну нет, на поверку всё интереснее – эта музыка впечатлила даже меня, от рождения не впечатляемого всякими грайндами. Весело и быстро – рычат и кричат, пилят и стругают, долбят и грохочут. Квинтет из мест, знаменитых марихуанной свободой легализованных проституток, лупит по-доброму злобные песенки будто про маленького мальчика, но утрированнее – грязь, похоть, кровь и огонь, тра-та-та, что ещё надо. Делать они это определённо умеют – изредка даже прорывается мелодика, не говоря уж по повсеместной техничности. Одна из песен даже напомнила раз в пять ускоренный Dark Tranquillity времен "Gallery", из которого удалили клавишные :). Туманное сравнение, не правда ли? Однако этого, я уверен, достаточно для тех, кто такую музыку любит, чтобы понять, что речь идёт о них ;). Мощно!«

I.N.R.I. (which is an abbreviation for Insane Non-commercialised Rock Institute) finds their roots all the way back in 1994. But due to many changes in line-up, in 2001 the old name STIGMATHEIST was changed into the current name. "Hyper Bastard Breed" is the 2002 debut album on Dutch label Coldblood Industries for this newly-named Dutch band.

Whether it's partially due to patriotism or not, doesn't matter. But right from the start I had a very good feeling about this album. And for another time, I was right! I.N.R.I. plays a fanatical, blood-boiling type of Death/Thrash Metal; but the music also contains a lot of melody, making this a very diverse recording. The vocals are mainly grunts, but like Chris Barnes and Corpsegrinder, often also briefly shoot to the shriek region. The fact that the recording took place in Franky's Recording Kitchen (also SEVERE TORTURE) with Henri Sattler (GOD DETHRONED) and Berthus Westerhuis can definitely be heard by the excellent sound quality of the CD: The guitars are clearly audible at all times, and although the drums sound a tad triggered, the overall sound is clear and hellishly warm.

Since I just mentioned the drums, they are excellent, with every now and then cool spurts of double bass play. Since the tracks are all around two to three minutes in length it's hard to pinpoint any favourites… You see, it's all awesome!! But to name a few, the intro riff of opener "More Ruthless Than The Devil" for instance is awesome! And what about "Shoot, Hammer And Krush"! Closer "The All Consuming Darkness" is probably the darkest and heaviest track on the album, and probably also the shortest one. But song "The Glorythrone" is the downright brilliant highlight of the album! On this song a heavy Death/Thrash Metal band shows all wannabe melodic Death Metal bands what good melodic riffs are supposed to sound like (don't get me wrong, this song is still damn heavy!). "Spawn Of Abraham" is comparable, and another one of those excellent songs that can be found on this record. This slightly melodic versus crushing heavy two-sidedness makes "Hyper Bastard Breed" impressive in pretty much every aspect of their sound!

"Hyper Bastard Breed" is a strong, aggressive record that shouldn't be unheard if you like heavy-hitting Death/Thrash Metal! What more can I say than: Fuck, we Dutch rule! The Dutch export product still grows stronger, with SEVERE TORTURE, SINISTER, GOD DETHRONED, and now I.N.R.I.! (Online February 3, 2003)
