THE PROJECT HATE MCMXCIX: WHEN WE ARE DONE YOUR FLESH WILL BE OURS (Massacre)

Название этой команды вполне информативно. Это именно проект, а не full-time коллектив и основан он был в 1999 году. Слово Hate тоже говорит само за себя, и обещает музыку, скажем так, неласковую. К слову сказать, единственным "заслуженным" музыкантов среди всех участников коллектива является вокалист Йорген Сандстром, который в настоящее время является штатным басистом в Entombed. Остальные, как говорится, локально известны. Но, в конце концов, не в регалиях и былых заслугах дело, а в материале.

А материал весьма и весьма интересен. Определить жанровые рамки "ненавистников" емко весьма затруднительно. Работает эта формация на стыке дэта, готики и индастриала. Неплохой коктейльчик получается, не правда ли? От дэта - мясной гитарный звук (гитары настроены в Си, а то и в Ля) и брутальный рык Сандстрома. Очень классный гроулинг. В принципе Сандстром и бэк-вокалит по основному месту работы, так что фэны Entombed могли слышать его голос, но тут в отсутствие Ларса Петрова он работает в полную силу. Правда и в этом проекте Сандстром не монополист на вокал, милая девушка Кристина Шталь разделяет с ним певческие обязанности. Это вносит тот самый готический элемент. Типа красавица и чудовище и все такое, если не знать, что милашка Шталь имеет фотомодельный рост, и вообще покрепче Сандстрома будет. Но это опять к делу не относится… Индустриальные мотивы - это программированные ударные (барабанщика в группе нет вообще, в том числе и на концертах) с характерной ритмикой, и всякие прочие электронные штучки.

Все вместе - среднетемповая музыка с мощным звуком, драйвом и неплохими мелодиями (на чистом вокале, само собой). Такие милые, не слишком вычурные, песенки с ласковыми названиями типа "I Smell Like Jesus… Dead", "Disciples Of The Apocalypse" или "Believing Is Bleeding ". То, что в некоторых кругах классифицируется как "бласфемическая лирика". Собственно если не меняя на обложке больше ничего написать вместо названия группы к примеру написать "Deicide", это будет выглядеть аутентично. Упрекнуть эту работу можно только в чрезмерной затянутости композиций. Такая музыка не должна быть слишком длинной, малость надоедает под конец. Лучше бы еще парочку вещей. За это альбом получает всего четыре очка, но у этой формации есть потенциал добиться лучших результатов.//totalmetal.net

The Project Hate MCMXCIX (often referred to as Project Hate, or simply The Hate) is a Swedish death metal band. It was formed in 1998 and released its debut album Cybersonic Superchrist in 2000. It is one of the few death metal bands who use a female singer (Jonna Enckell) along with the death grunts.

The Project Hate MCMXCIX was formed in 1998 after years of talking between long-time friends Lord K. Philipson (formerly of Leukemia, House of Usher, Lame) and Jörgen Sandström (previously of Entombed and Grave and now involved in Vicious Art and Krux as well). During that winter, they recorded their only demo, produced by Dan Swanö and included backing vocals by Lars Göran Petrov. The three song demo was sent out to four labels and in 1999 they signed with the German label Massacre Records.

The original concept came from the album done by Lord K and others under the name of Deadmarch. The album was entitled "The Project Hate MCMXCIX: The Initiation of Blasphemy". Lord K's first idea was to change the vocals to that of Jörgen's, but due to a studio blunder the tapes were lost. The album was since available to download for members of the Global Domination (Lord K's metal website, which also host the TPH forums) forums. Apart from that, the album has never seen the light of day, until 2007. It has been remastered by Dan Swanö and will be released on Vic Records sometime in 2007 with new album artwork and booklet.

By the end of 1999, The Project Hate recorded their debut album Cybersonic Superchrist. During the recording, the decision was made to add female vocalist Mia Ståhl to the band. Cybersonic Superchrist was released in 2000. Although reviews were positive, the album was difficult to come across.

The following year the band recorded their second album, When We are Done, Your Flesh Will Be Ours. The album was recorded in the late Nasum frontman Mieszko Talarczyk's Soundlab Studios. It was released in 2001, though the album was very difficult to find in stores much like the debut album.

In 2002, Petter S. Freed of 2 Ton Predator joined as a live guitarist. After contributing many ideas and much songwriting to the band, he was added as a permanent member. Also, Mia Ståhl was fired and replaced with another female vocalist, Jonna Enckell. Later that year, the band left Massacre Records and signed with Threeman Recordings. A live album was recorded in Helsinki, Finland, titled Killing Hellsinki, which would later be released through in April 2003. Afterwards, the band would go back to Soundlab Studios and Mieszko Talarczyk to record Hate, Dominate, Congregate, Eliminate.

In early 2005 the band began recording their fourth album, titled Armageddon March Eternal - Symphonies of Slit Wrists with Dan Swanö. Michael Håkansson of Evergrey joined the band as a bassist during the recording and later would join the band full-time. Armageddon March Eternal was released by Threeman Recordings on October 5, 2005.

In 2006, the band left their record label and eventually signed with Peter Stormare's record label, StormVox. The band added drummer Mojjo for their upcoming album, to have live drums for the first time since the band's creation. The fifth studio album is titled In Hora Mortis Nostræ and was released at September 15th, 2007. Distribution deals are being sorted in the remainder of 2007 to get the album out as widely as possible.
