Now the Power/True Metal-wave also has reached our eastern neighbours. SALAMANDRA are in tradition of bands like KREYSON or ARAKAIN and deliver their debut with "Twilight Of Legends". After the obligatory epic intro with battle-sounds, "With Gods On Their Side" shows off the direction: easy-going Power Metal, sometimes midpaced, sometimes fast, sometimes accentuated by keyboards.

Sometimes with medieval sounding keyboards ("The Mourning", "Twilight Of Legends") or with thundering double-bass-drumming ("Misty Riders", "Warriors", "War Is Over"), the compositions sound uncramped and easy-going, easily finding their way into your ears.

SALAMANDRA, just like most of their style-colleagues, cannot give the scene any new impulses (a feat very hard to accomplish by now), but still I like the CD, because despite all it does sound different from the countless HAMMERFALL-epigones, but after all everybody has to decide for himself, if he wants to enter the "Twilight Of Legends" or not...
