SKELETONWITCH Skeletonwitch is an American extreme metal band from Athens, Ohio. They are currently signed to Prosthetic Records.USA Thrash Metal /Black Metal MySpace WebSite Band * Chance Garnette – vocals Skeletonwitch's vocals are characteristically in the death metal/black metal vein, with Chance Garnette performing both the low guttural shouts and growls as well as the higher pitched black metal screams and sickness. Vocalist Chance Garnette and guitarist Nate Garnette are brothers. Bassist Eric Harris was fired and replaced by Evan Linger(ex-Insurrect) in August 2008. They were one of four opening acts for the 2008 Blackest of the Black Tour, (created by Danzig founder and former Misfits member, Glenn Danzig). Skeletonwitch released their third studio album by the name of Breathing The Fire on October 13, 2009 to critical acclaim, with one website describing it as "an excellent release that shows that thrash can incorporate influences and stylistic flourishes from other genres and still retain the energetic aggression for which the genre is so beloved". Skeletonwitch's song "Soul Thrashing Black Sorcery" is on the soundtrack of the video game 'Brütal Legend'. The song "Crushed Beyond Dust" was put on the Rock Band network on February 28, 2010. Skeletonwitch played all the dates of Ozzfest 2010. Skeletonwitch was featured on an Adult Swim video for their song "Bringers of Death" in 2010. "Bringers of Death" also appears on the Adult Swim heavy metal compilation titled Metal Swim.
